Sign-ups are now taking place for the Augusta Curtis Concert Band (ACCB). This concert band is comprised of musicians from middle school through adulthood. The band aims to perform music in a pops concert style, which will be enjoyed by the band members and audiences alike!
The ACCB rehearses every Monday evening at Lincoln Middle School at 7:00pm. Conductors are Earle Cote & Jeff Caillouette. The Band is sponsored by the Augusta Curtis Cultural Center (ACCC) and plays at least 2 concerts at the the Center, one in the Spring and one at the Holiday time. The Band has also performed an outdoor concert around 4th of July in the Rosa Ponselle Memorial Garden adjacent to the ACCC.
The Band was formed to give all levels of players and all ages of players the opportunity and a place to play. The ACCB is available to perform at special events throughout the city and private concerts. Contact Jeff to join or for more info at 203-715-0855 or e-mail jeff@jc-music.com.
The ACCB will be performing a Holiday Concert on Monday, Dec. 13 at 7pm at the Augusta. Admission will be $5.00 and children under 10 are free.
