Event Details:

The Augusta Auction 2010 will be held on Saturday night, November 13th, and we hope you will be able to join us.

The Augusta Curtis Cultural Center is a 501(c)3 independent, self-supporting non-profit organization dedicated to fostering art, science, history, sports and social interaction for people of all ages, races, religions and beliefs in the greater Meriden area. Each year we must raise upwards of $80,000 to support our culturally diverse programming, camps, & exhibits. We raise this money through the contributions from hundreds of individuals and organizations in the form of memberships, building rentals, grants, donations and fundraisers like the Annual Auction which is our largest.

We hold the Augusta Auction annually, giving us the opportunity to gather rare, unusual, and desirable items. This results in bargains for the public and generates vital funds for the center. Items generally sell between $25 and $2,500, and run the gamut from Meriden memorabilia to paintings and gift baskets to getaways in Martha’s Vineyard and Florida. The Augusta Auction 2010 Catalog, containing advance descriptions of auction items and their donors, will be distributed in our area around October 25th. The catalog will also showcase paid advertisements from area businesses.

A “Membership & Supporter Appreciation” Reception will be held at 6:00pm on the night of the auction. Guests will enjoy light refreshments in the Rotunda, and may peruse auction items at their leisure, as well as choose seats for the auction. Doors will then open to the general public at 7:00pm and the auction will begin at 7:30pm. There is no charge to attend auction. Once again, the professional staff of Nest Egg Auctions has volunteered to conduct the auction on our behalf, assisted by some of our dazzling local community leaders.

If you would like to donate an item or service to the auction, or want to run an ad in our high-profile catalog, please click on  the links below. Any donations of tickets , time sensitive items, or vacation getaways must be for the 2011 season!

With best regards,
Amy Benigni, (President, Board of Directors) and Ryan Brechlin (Auction Chairman)
